How “BrewHa” came about I gotta rewind the tape a few decades. In middle school my American History teacher Mr. David Taylor at Dunedin Middle School was famous for giving nicknames to his students. So famous for it, that students throughout the school hoped to be in his class to receive one from him. Most carried that nickname much like myself throughout their life.

Mr. Taylor created this interactive game to teach how the stock market worked. With the class divided into teams it was a week long competition to see which team could make the most successful trades, with grades based off their “bank”.

The end of the week long game my team finished 2nd and it was the day I received my nickname from him. I was one of the last in the class to get one. My surname of Brewer, replacing the “er” with “Ha” because he said I made him laugh a lot. Quite frankly it was the other way around. He made us laugh a lot! Still to this day, almost 30 years later I still remember his words.

“I saved your name for last, not because you’re the least I remembered. But because I know one day, people will know you as “BrewHa”. So make sure you always capitalize the “H” for all our laugher.”

-David Taylor

fast forward to 2024, when photography started to evolve from a hobby. I wanted to give it more of a elaborate persona. Rather than just using my name while keeping it original and I remembered the name he gave me.. it was a no brainer and “BrewHa Photography” was born.
